After several failed attempts by the property owner to convert an industrial zoned remnant pear orchard to residential uses, The Riding Company was able to use its extensive land use expertise and experience to convince the City of San Jose to support the conversion. The project was designed for 93 single-family lots on the 13 acre site resulting in a density of approximately seven units per acre. The homes consisted of three plans ranging from 2,000 to 2,600 square feet with three and four bedrooms and two car garages.
